Dr. Owens earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from North Carolina State University. Following graduation, she returned to her home state of Pennsylvania to complete her residency training in clinical pathology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, achieving board certification in 2015.

With a decade of experience in diagnostic pathology, Dr. Owens has developed a strong passion for cytology and an interest in the application of artificial intelligence within veterinary medicine. These interests have led to a leadership role in the development of Imagyst applications, where she is dedicated to advancing AI diagnostics and raising awareness of the benefits that cytology and AI can bring to veterinary practice.
