Sourcing & Procurement

Due to global demand on hospital items, we are experiencing constraints within our personal protective equipment (PPE), antiseptics, and disinfectant product categories. Please know our teams are working around the clock to navigate these supply challenges and serve your needs.

Diets

We have seen a huge surge in demand for diets. Our vendor partners are committed to keeping up with the demand, including hiring more staff and opening additional production and warehousing facilities by some pet food suppliers. On an order-by-order basis, our customer service team evaluates in-stock status for diet products. Depending on the status, we have begun and will continue communicating to your client to set expectations on availability and delivery times. In some cases, if a product is not readily available, we will refer them to you for a new recommendation.

Call Volume

We are also experiencing extremely high call volume and recognize that it creates long hold times. To help, we ask that you reach out to us at practicesupport@covetrus.com for any questions you may have, and direct your clients to support@covetrus.com for their support needs.

Safety Precautions

Throughout our North American operations, Covetrus has implemented workplace regulations and guidelines from government and public health authorities related to COVID-19. This includes frequent washing of hands, daily disinfecting of workspaces, and limiting non-essential travel. In our pharmacies, it has also been standard practice for all of our pharmacies to strictly comply with USP regulations on the use and application of personal protective equipment by all staff. In addition, Covetrus works in partnership with manufacturers, suppliers, and global shipping carriers that are also taking the same precautionary methods.
